Media Relations
QUILL KEY COMMUNICATIONS
1.Leading in the development, implementing and measurment of external and internal Media based communication plans.
2.Managing day-to-day media relations/media requests for brand and corporate issues.
3.Creating a revised media crisis management plan for client use.
4.Determining appropriate media responses via various channels.
5.Developing written materials including press releases, Q&A, media standby statements on brand and corporate issues as required.
6.Building relationships with key media contacts and identify opportunities to proactively pitch brand and corporate stories through social media outlets as appropriate.
7.Developing relationships with national and regional press contacts to ensure the company reputation is promoted and to deflect criticism.
8.Detecting public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly.
9.Assisting in the development and implementation of Brand PR programs to support brand building initiatives/innovation/corporate promotions.
10.Writing speeches for CEOs, Chairmen etc and coaching on delivery performance where appropriate.
11.Providing training to board members and senior staff on how to handle media interviews – both for broadcast and written outlets. This focuses on key messaging, how to deflect difficult questions, staying in control, body language, etc
